The Krabu Grupp company has concluded an agreement with Lasnamäe borough administration on publishing the largest city district newspaper in the country –  the Lasnamäe Journal. In accordance with the terms of the won tender, Krabu Grupp will be responsible for the issue of the newspaper throughout 2018. In connection with the change of the publisher, the contact details of the newspaper will also change.

The communications division of Krabu Gruppis responsible for design and layout, as well as for the advertising component of the newspaper. Materials for publication are traditionally provided by the administration of the city district of Lasnamäe. According to Kirill Krabu, Member of the Board of Krabu Grupp, the Lasnamäe Journalis unique in that it allows to establish the closest possible contact with the audience, getting to almost every mailbox in the district. “Many mass media entities are striving to be as close as possible to their audience, and the Lasnamäe Journal was originally created to tell what is happening just steps from your home. We specialize in organizing media channels for small communities, and we believe that we will be able to revamp the Lasnamäe Journal a little, making it even closer to the residents of the borough”, said Kirill Krabu.

After signing the contract, the newspaper’s homepage was updated – in February 2018 it will be available at the address www.lasnaleht.ee. A profile of the periodical will also appear on the Facebook. In addition to the greater emphasis on Internet channels, the design of the paper edition will be also changed slightly. “There’s no talk about any cardinal changes – we plan to update the existing edition a bit and add some interactivity to it in the future”, Kirill Krabu added.

The Lasnamäe Journalis a monthly gazette of the city district council, and exists since 2002. The newspaper is published both in Estonian and Russian languages and is distributed free of charge. According to readers’ feedback, the Lasnamäe Journalis the borough newspaper with the widest readership in the capital. Its circulation is 60 000 copies.
