Krabu Grupp and the Estonian Information System Authority have signed a cooperation agreement in the IT field for a period of 3 years. Based on the results of the tender announced in early 2020, the joint offer of Krabu Grupp and Wisercat was recognized as the best offer. In total, 5 proposals out of 10 received were considered successful within this 10 million euro contest. Our proposal won first place for the price/performance ratio of the test task.

The framework contract provides for various types of IT services aimed at the development of e-government and state information systems in Estonia. Five firms that have made the best offers will become official partners of the state in the field of IT development over the next three years.

“The results of the tender show that the vector of our efforts has been right, and now we will be happy to contribute to the development of the e-state in Estonia, taking over the baton from its founding fathers. For almost 10 years of our history, we have grown from a small communications company into a digital transformation service provider capable of implementing projects of any complexity and scale,” said Kirill Krabu, Chairman of the Board of Krabu Grupp.

Participants in the tender that lasted for several months, had to compile a tender proposal, where the cost of work and the quality of the test task were assessed. A total of 10 enterprises met the qualification conditions, 5 of them were recognized as successful and received an offer to conclude a contract.

We are glad that the interest towards our development tender was great and we received 10 proposals from different participants. As part of the tender, we selected the five best suppliers, and we are pleased to admit that for the next three years we have good and strong partners with whom we can continue to develop the Estonian e-state, remaining the world leader in the field of digital technologies,” said the deputy Director General of the Estonian Information System Authority Margus Arm.

The framework agreement includes architecture and software development services, analysis and other digital transformation services in the areas of electronic documents (eID), electronic elections, data exchange, development of a state portal and cybersecurity.

“Particularly interesting in this tender was the test task – it was necessary to demonstrate understanding of the main technologies of the Estonian e-state, so we practically created a small information system from scratch, developed its architecture and design, and integrated it with various government services. We are glad that the solution we proposed has earned such a high appreciation from the customer,” said Kati Krabu, the author of the tender proposal and Member of the Board of Krabu Grupp.

The core business of Krabu Grupp is to support digital transformation and provide services to back up enterprises along this path. Recent studies show that enterprises that have not already undergone the digital transformation may face serious difficulties in the near future in competing with market participants who have already implemented digital technologies. Currently, Krabu Grupp offers IT consulting and software development within three service packages: basic, advanced and full; the packages are designed to achieve sustainable implementation of digital solutions in enterprises with different levels of IT maturity.
